Education - Children
Helping children come close to God to discover who God is, who we are, and what it means to be a part of God’s Story and community of Faith.
Welcome to Story Quest!
Are you ready for an adventure of a lifetime? Children, guides (teachers and assistants), and parents are invited on a journey through God’s Story - exploring what God has to say to us, each in a way that God made us!

You can feel comfortable knowing that your infants and toddlers are in a safe and loving environment. Our excellent caregivers play with and care for your children. We have one caregiver who is there every week, plus volunteers from our congregation. The Nursery is located on the first floor.
Preschool & Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
Sundays, 10:00am, Rooms 105. Go to Worship first - we will be dismissed to class after the Time With Children.
Join Ms. Roberta & Mr. Roland as we have lots of fun learning and growing together as children of God. This is a place where you feel the love of God! We will use our Beginner’s Bible as a source for our lessons together.
Sep 9-23, Creation and You! - We’ll explore the story of God’s creation, learn about our special place, and how we can take care of God’s creation.
Sep 30-Nov 11, Animals Help God do His Work - Did you know that the Bible has a variety of animals in them? We’ll explore stories with snakes, donkeys, frogs, lambs, ravens, and a big fish.
1st - 4th Grade
Sundays, 10:00am, Rooms 203. Go to Worship first - we will be dismissed to class after the Time With Children.
From the beginning to the promise of a Messiah, this fall we will be making our way through some of the Old Testament stories to see what we can discover about God, ourselves, and the people of the Bible.
Along the way we’ll learn about prayer and experience prayer in a variety of ways. How do we talk with God? We’ll learn some new songs that help us with the story and we will be learning more about how to use and read our Bibles. And, as always, the kids help us tell the story.
Crossroads: An Older Elementary/Middle School Question Study
Sundays, 10:00am, in Room 205
Remember when you were little and you were so curious that used to ask “Why, why, why…?” Maybe you don’t, but your parents do! For some reason, we don’t do that as much, but why? Are we not curious anymore? Do we not still have questions about life, about growing up, about the world around us? This year, let’s have some fun asking questions! With goofy videos, a weird anti-workbook, and a group of strange friends and guides, let’s tackle some serious questions and see what we learn. In 2019, you can choose which questions from the anti-workbook you’d like to tackle with the group. Keep asking why!
Sep 9-Oct 7, Questions About the Bible - Who wrote the Bible? Is the Bible true? Why does the Bible contradict itself at times? Is the New Testament more important than the Old Testament? Why are there so many versions of the Bible?
Oct 14-Dec 16, Questions About the Creed - Can it be proven that God exists? Is God male? How can God be “three-in-one”? Does God still create stuff today? Am I really supposed to believe Mary was a virgin? Why did Jesus go to hell? Is the Holy Spirit a person or wind or fire or what? Why do we say we believe in “the holy catholic church” if we’re not Catholic? Do cremated people go to heaven?
