- June 3rd - Youth Group
Young Adult Group (20s to 40s)
Every other Tuesday night at 7:30pm
Continues on May 15, May 29, June 12, June 26 (and so on…)
On May 1st we went to Bowlmor on Shady Grove Road where they have $2.22 Tuesdays! It’s $2.22 for shoes, $2.22 for a game, and $2.22 for tacos! We had so much fun that we want to continue with this kind of thing, change it up to something else, and even hang out at Panera on East Jefferson. The best way to keep on top of this is to contact Theresa Eggleston, Faith’s Office Manager and a participant in this group at firstname.lastname@example.org .
100 Hundred Envelope Challenge for Youth in Mission
In an effort to raise funds for the Senior High Work Trip to Lorain, Ohio, June 24-30 the Youth Group is asking for your help and support. We have posted 100 envelopes in the Fellowship Hall numbered from $1-$100. Each envelope contains a student’s bio and prayer requests. We humbly ask that you consider helping to sponsor our trip by taking an envelope that correlates to a donation amount you are willing to make.
After this donation we ask that you keep that specific student in prayer through our trip at the end of June. Thank you in advance for your support of our Youth Trip!
Faith Foundation Grants
Deadline: June 1, 2018
Faith Foundation is able to provide grants to outside public charities. In the past, Faith Foundation awarded grants to many charities in our area. The outreach is basic to our Faith values.
We ask that each applicant be sponsored by a Faith member, so that we are certain the funds will be used in a manner that is connected to our Faith UMC community. Please contact Barbara Wege with questions (email@example.com ).
Final Benefit Concert for CMR
June 2, 2018, 7:30pm
The concert will feature Stravinsky’s “The Soldier’s Tale” and Mozart’s “Ave Verum” among an eclectic array of music that has been the hallmark of this series. Thanks to the generosity of so many Faith members, we have raised enough funds not only to remunerate our professional musicians, led by Stephen Czarkowski; we have also raised over $1000 towards Community Ministries of Rockville. Please invite friends and family, and make it a point to add this to your spring must-hear list!
