Vesper Service of New Beginnings
February 22, 2019, 7:30pm
The people of God who are Faith UMC have been through a difficult time, with a pastoral change, Pastor Wayne’s surgery and subsequent death, and the deaths of a number of members. We will offer an evening vesper service where we will acknowledge our losses and griefs, and greet the new reality and new beginning for the congregation and individuals in it. We will offer it up to God and seek the Divine presence through scripture, prayer, silence, music, and light. Everyone is invited, and you are asked to invite anyone who might want to come to such a service.
Praying Our Way Forward
February 23-February 26, 2019, 2:23-2:26pm (daily)
As the United Methodist Church enters into a time of discernment, we ask everyone to Pray Our Way Forward. Every afternoon, people of the UMC will pause as a community to pray from 2:23pm to 2:26pm. The time frame represents the dates in which The General Conference of the United Methodist Church will be meeting and voting on the topic of human sexuality in the United Methodist Church.

“Featuring a diverse set of American Muslims from a wide range of ethnic and national origins speaking directly to their own respective experiences…
Faith on Film: “Brigham City”
March 8, 2019, 6:30-9:30pm
For our seventh film in our “Saints and Sinners” series we will shift focus and screen a thriller: director Richard Dutcher’s second film Brigham City (2001, 119 minutes, rated PG-13). A theological mystery involving small-town heroes and a sinister villain, with Dutcher starring as a Utah sheriff and Mormon bishop forced to contend with both a serial killer and the collapse of the town’s conservative veneer provoked by the ensuing investigation…
