Join Us in Making Care Packages

October 18, 2019, 7:00-8:30pm

Is there a young adult in your life who might feel blessed by receiving a care package?  Perhaps you have a child, grandchild, niece, nephew or neighbor who’s away at college or serving in the military who might need a little love and care.  Join us to make them a care package.  It’ll be a group effort.  We’ll begin in the kitchen mixing up some quick batches of cookies and brownies that can be included in the care packages. (Cookie mixes and containers will be provided.)

Bring a shoebox-sized box and 10 small items to contribute.  They can all be the same or you can bring an assortment of items.  Some ideas might be small toys, candy, tissue packs, a deck of cards, silly putty, microwave popcorn packs, hot cocoa envelopes, fuzzy socks, etc.   The only requirement is that the items be small.  We’ll put all the contributions out on tables and take turns selecting for our recipients.  We’ll add cards and offer a prayer for each recipient before sealing the boxes.  Then it’ll be up to you to put it in the mail.  Come join in this evening of fellowship and caring!
